AudioSwitch

If you have multiple audio devices plugged into your computer, then you know the hassle of switching between them. Though it's not a difficult task, navigating through menus each time you wish use your headphones or speakers can be a real chore. AudioSwitch can make this task much easier. It lets you switch from one device to another on the fly, via a simple system tray icon.

The application is absolutely free and you can use it on various Windows versions, without encountering any compatibility issues. The installation process is quick and it doesn't involve any advanced settings. Also, you don't have to install any additional drivers or tools before running the application.

When launched, AudioSwitch will place a new icon in the system tray. Clicking this icon will reveal a compact menu, in the same region of the screen, on which you can select your preferred audio device. The application automatically detects all your devices and it displays them on this menu, so you only need to click one to select it. Additionally, you can change the volume for the selected device, using a slider, located in the same menu.

A configurations panel can be accessed through the same system tray icon. It contains a wide range of options, for customizing the appearance of an on-screen volume slider and for the tray icons of each playback or recording device. Furthermore, the software lets you set up multiple hotkeys, for switching between audio devices, changing the volume, muting the sound and other actions.
